Gabriel Chalfin-Piney-González (they/them) is a Chicago-based arts administrator skilled in building and orchestrating multidisciplinary educational and artistic public programs, residencies and exhibitions. With fifteen years of experience working with community arts organizations and museums, their work is deeply rooted through interfacing with the public, and supporting artists in a career-changing capacity.

World building, self taught spiritual and artistic practices, along with multi-sensorial collaborative performance centers much of their art practice. They hold an MA in Arts Administration and Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and BA in Art History from SUNY New Paltz.

Gabriel has held positions at the Lunder Institute for American Art - Colby Museum of Art, Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Vassar College’s Powerhouse Theater. They have organized for the Chicago Parks Department, Colby Museum of Art, The Highline Network, Greene Block + Studios, SITE Galleries and the Lunder Institute for American Art. They have performed at the Design Museum of Chicago, apexart, Panoply Performance Lab, Chicago Artists Coalition, High Concept Labs, Grace Exhibition Space, and the Whitney Museum of Art.

They are the Founding Director of the Jewish Museum of Chicago.
