Care-Full Histories (CFH) was an Oral History Archiving + Performance Commission. We sought to champion the oral histories of living artists, affirming their legacy, stories, and making; vocalizing the importance and necessity of their labors, food, joy, grief, and knowledge. In conjunction with preserving artist histories, through two oral history interviewing sessions, Care-Full Histories provides a performance commission for the creation or completion of a public facing meal-based work.
Three $500 grants were awarded to three artists for the creation of a literal or figurative meal created for a 10-20 person public audience in an outdoor space.
